Not sure if anyone will ever read this, I just need to get a few things off my chest. Let’s start with my background for now. I was born and raised in southern california. I am 31 years old, I lived in the small town of Lake Elsinore for 25 years. My wife and I just bought a huge house a few miles from where I grew up, I went pretty far huh! When I was 19 I started my career in the wireless industry. I’m fanatically obsessed with android, roms, themes, I’m an overclocking speed demon, and I love trying new things on my phone, replacing the anim folder inside the framework-res.apk with one with better animations is what I did when I woke up. Anyways, I love guns, hondas, racing (no nascar) and work. Ahh work,
I started out climbing cell towers and doing the physical construction on them, everything from setting the pole to pulling the coax, installing antennas, and the base station equipment that processes the calls. I quickly worked my way up to a foremen where I was in charge of constructing, upgrading, and maintaining cell sites for many different carriers. I’ve climbed, rappelled <not sure if I spelt that right but how many times have you had to write it?
I have also been a technician responsible for integration, commissioning, T-1 interface, and pretty much everything else that comes with making our cell phones work. I have worked for At&t, verizon, t-mobile, sprint, nextel, cricket wireless, metro pcs, ericsson, and nokia. Whew, I've been around the block a few times in the 12 years I've been doing this and I wore a jimmy hat every time. There's not much I don't know about wireless networks.
Currently my company is working on everyones LTE project, verizon, at&t, and metro pcs to be specific. Back to my love of android, I had a blackberry that I would put movies on, I thought it was the shit. I was talking to a coworker named Dillon about getting an iphone, he said "iphones suck, why not get an android" and he showed me his moto cliq and everything it could do. It was over for me, I fell in love with android. I went home and told my wife that I wanted android. The only andy phone was the at&t backflip, so I got it. The next day I found out what an awful piece of 500 dollar shit it was. It was unrootable, had many of its android peices removed such as the unknown sources box we all see when we tap applications. Constant reboots, slow, typical at&t android, just a raped device. I couldn't stand it after a few months so I paid a lot of money to get out of my contract and I bought the droid 2 the day it came out. I was in love with android again. I developed a complex after my at&t experience where I must have total control over my device. Once I found out about the locked bootloader I cried in the shower for days rocking back and forth repeating "its not your fault, you didn't know". Now yesterday developers are dropping development for my phone and I don't blame them a bit. I need to shell out 600 bucks for a new phone, my complex says I must. I have a flashing disorder and I. Always must flash roms. I promise the next one will be better, I just had to rant for a while.
